Double Chocolate Cheesecake

Celebratory lunch with one of my besties and we treated ourselves to dessert from this fancy place in town 😉

I had the double chocolate cheesecake and it was simply divine! Soft and cheesy but also rich so I felt quite full after just half it but made myself eat some more because I knew I’d regret it otherwise.

Customizable ice cream!

FLOW at Hilton Colombo Residencies offers their customers a truly unique experience when it comes to their ice creams.

One can have them customized by adding and mixing flavours and other bits to the ice cream. Mine included vanilla ice cream, topped with chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, almond shreds and cashew nuts. Simply divine!

Lunch at Tsing Tao

One of my besties took me out to lunch yesterday – we hadn’t decided exactly where to go but made the sudden decision to go to the Chinese restaurant at Reid Avenue. It was my first time at Tsing Tao and I must admit the interior is quite interesting and cosy. My friend and I picked a table by the window so we had a good look at lush trees around us instead being closed up in a private room or corner.

We ordered the fried rice with egg, hot cutter cuttlefish, fried prawns in chili sauce, mixed mushrooms cooked wok style and yummilicious lemon and orange iced tea to go with our meal. I was quite impressed with the meal and we both really enjoyed our picks. We didn’t exactly finish our orders but hey, we did ask the leftovers to be wrapped so my bestie could have it for dinner.

We then hung out a little longer at Reid Avenue and headed over to Schakazs for dessert

It was my first to this little bakery as well but I immediately fell in love with the small interior and pasted decor. The cheesecake was simply divine! My bestie gobbled down their yummy creme brûlée.

We spent an hour or so there and then headed home. It was certainly a well spent day!

My Saturday

I love the weekend and so here’s a look at how my Saturday was!

My bestie and I decided to head over to Upalis for a bit of a late lunch. We picked the Negambo black curry prawn accompanied by basmati white rice, pol sambol and papadam. The prawn curry was to die for and had the right amount of spice and favour! Soooo good!

Also decided to opt for a refreshing amberella juice to quench my thirst before walking across the road and making our way towards Jagro for dessert.

Couldn’t help but dig into the strawberry sundae. It includes three huge scoops of vanilla ice cream, strawberries and chocolate sauce.

We also went on a quick shopping spree to Mondy but I didn’t snap any pictures from there. I did pick out a light linen black top for half off so yay me!

Have a good weekend everyone!
