Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG!

PicMonkey Collage41

Now I know that every living person procrastinates at least a couple of times in their lifetime. AT LEAST. You and I do it so why deny it? I can’t really say I procrastinate all the time because I have a method to everything I do, and a place for everything I own and so on… but there comes a time every now and then that I just cannot be bothered about anything and everything.. well, something and I procrastinate. So this is me taking on the Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG and passing it on to each and every one of you to give it a go!

1. Name a beauty regimen that you rarely do?

Hmm… exfoliate my lips, that’s for sure!

2. Is washing your make-up brushes something that you do regularly?

Nope lol! Hardly ever…. gah!

3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?

Not long. I hate the look of chipped nail polish so I always make sure it looks good.

4. How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it?

Not long to be honest. If I love something that I use, I will replace it almost immediately because I would miss it too much. For example, if I got done with one of my soft matte lip creams, I don’t think I would be okay with not replacing it. I NEED them in my life 😀

5. What is your worst beauty habit?

Uhh… probably the fact that I have to tweeze and pluck my eyebrows into shape every single day… I tend to always find at least one hair to pluck out. Bad bad idea to do every single day I know but I just can’t help myself…

6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?

Something I put off doing all the time eh… that would have to be getting a facial. I’m so lazy to go to the salon and get one done. It’s been months since my last visit…

7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?

Nope. I take my time but I make sure I begin early so that I’d be ready in time. I hate being late. Hate!

8. Can you commit to spending bans?

YES! I have repeatedly committed myself to spending bans and have successfully succeeded many times 😀 Yay me!

9. How organized are your make-up and nail polish collections?

Quite organised because I am a neat person by nature. Everything has it’s own place in my room and vanity (dressing table). I like keeping my belongings in certain places and always neat and tidy.

Happy weekend everyone! Xoxo

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Scrub review

This has definitely been a year for trying out body scrubs of all sorts and fragrances for me. I ain’t complaining, I’ve loved trying out so many and have come to really love some of them. Earlier this year, I was dying over the Body Shop Blueberry Body Scrub which was sadly a limited edition product. I wanted to eat it the moment I opened the tub because it smelt so damn good. This one’s nearly as good.

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Scrub is made nearly the same way the blueberry one was, as in it has a very gel like gooey consistency. I love this about the scrub. I don’t like it being too heavy and harsh and as a gel scrub, it’s very light and easy to lather all over the body and then get on to the scrubbing.

Now to be quite honest, I do not know what actually Argan oil smells like but in the form of this scrub, woaaaah it’s beautiful! Yes, I said beautiful. It’s the kind of fragrance that settles between a nut and a flower in my opinion. I don’t know if that makes sense to any of you, because reading back it doesn’t make any sense to me but you kind of get the gist of it right? Hope so!

I love lathering this on because of its cool gel-ness. You can also tell the oil really does it job as you start scrubbing all over and the grains get working. There is an afterglow people, yes afterglow and it just makes you want to just stay in the shower and use it all over again. I’m very careful with this one because I don’t want to finish it too soon like the last one. Thankfully I did get myself two but…. I’m still careful. At night, I head over to the bathroom, open up the scrub tub and take a whiff of it simply because the fragrance is so unique and lovable.

As for it’s ingredients and whatnots, you know how the Body Shop works and you know they only use natural organic ingredients. This one is a sure keeper. I’ve also got the shower gel in the same range but somehow I’m not in love with that as much as the scrub. I dunno what it is though but oh well!

I bought my stash of Body Shop in Saudi but you can buy yours online in the US and UK.

If you’ve tried this, let me know what you think of it in the comments below! Xoxo

Scrub-a-dub-dub!

Face, body and foot scrub
Face, body and foot scrub

So… here’s the thing; everyone uses a scrub of some sort on some part of their body right? A face scrub, a body scrub and possibly a foot scrub too, so I was thinking of creating a tag where bloggers talk about their favourite types in one post. I’ve never created a tag before and I don’t even know if such a tag already exists but I do want to talk about my favourites so here goes 😀

Face Scrub

I’m a huge Clean & Clear fan so my favourite face scrub is the Morning Burst Facial Scrub. This is an oil-free scrub that comes with bursting beads, and not only actually wakes you thanks to its fruity aroma but also exfoliates and nourishes with vitamin c and ginseng. I don’t use it on a daily basis although it does claim it is ideal for daily use. I actually prefer using it on alternative days just to allow my skin to breathe occasionally. The first week I used this product, I noticed a drastic change in my skin. It looked fresh and bright after just three uses and I love that it leaves my face smelling all fruity too. The back description continues to say this formula gets rid of dullness and tired looking skin to reveal softer and more radiant skin and I for one can definitely vouch for that because it works on my skin. The formula is really not too thick and heavy so a little bit is really all I need to scrub on to my face. I generally focus on my nose, cheeks and chin because those are my problem areas and after a couple of uses, my face does show a great difference.

Body Scrub

This one is a new favourite but I can say for sure that it would remain the same for a long time. I recently discovered The Body Shop Limited Edition Blueberry Body Scrub Gel. I know it’s not available any longer and I’m totally upset with myself for not having purchased more because I am totally in love with this scrub. It’s got the most amazing texture that is a combination between a typical body scrub and a shower gel. I don’t know if that makes any sense but if you’re someone who has tried this out, you’ll definitely understand what I’m trying to say. Second reason why I love this is purely because of the fruit blueberry fragrance. I wasn’t a huge fan of blueberries but one whiff of this and I was totally hooked. I use this very sparingly because I don’t want to finish it but if you really want a good all-over-the-body scrub, you do have to be a little generous with the amount you take out. It includes little blueberry seeds that exfoliate well and leave your body feeling soft, fragrant and clean.

Foot Scrub

My go-to foot scrub with always remain a local favourite and that is the Spa Ceylon Green Mint Cooling Foot Scrub. I honestly believe that there is nothing to beat this product because it is made of all natural ingredients including lime peel to help remove rough patches on the feet, peppermint and lemongrass to cool and refresh, margosa and virgin coconut oil to nourish, soothe and relax. I do not think there is any other foot scrub out there that includes all these amazing ingredients and does and amazing job. I like to use the scrub after a foot soak (I also use the Spa Ceylon Green Mint Reviva Foot Soak) and give my feet a good relaxing session every once in a while. The aroma is divine and I am a sucker for green mint and lemongrass so this is more than ideal for someone like me. Most of all, I love that my feet are squeaky clean, refreshed and fragrant all day after I use it.

I’m also tagging some the fellow bloggers I follow to share their favourites and maybe even continue the tag 🙂

Comment below and let me know what your three favourite scrubs are! 😀
