Make Everyday Matter

Inhale. Exhale. Make every breathe count.

Here’s the thing; we’re all struggling to fit in and find a spot in this so-called ‘rat race’ called life. What is the race all about any way? Why do we take it so seriously? Why are we constantly after something we’re not even sure of and not making every single day of our lives matter?

Stop. Take a deep breath. Inhale. Exhale.

According to Richard Branson, there’s no necessity of separating work life and play/personal life. One must simply find a balance of the two to make a life. If you aren’t finding some form of enjoyment in the daily work that you do, if there’s no passion towards the career you are building, if there’s no sense of happiness derived from the everyday job, then what’s the point?

In order to make your every day count, be sure to fill it with a career, a job that satisfies your passion and aspirations. Once you begin to find enjoyment in what you do, when there’s a smile spread across your face at the end of a hard days work, it is then that you come to realize, the hustling and the bustling is worth it. If it isn’t, you’re simply wasting your own time.

Do something fun while also setting goals for yourself. Visit a new city or country every four months or six months of the year. Do something you’ve never done or thought you could never do. Set experiential standards that will both enrich your personal life and also motivate you.

Your goals do not have to be extraordinary to matter; all you need are ones that will work for you and enable you to become a better version of yourself.

Challenge yourself.

Push your limits.

This doesn’t mean you have to go to extreme lengths of any sort, but give yourself a positive and encouraging nudge every now and then. Pat yourself on the back when you’ve accomplished something. Reward yourself when you’ve achieved a goal. Treat yourself to a massage, a new dress or book, a holiday someplace you’ve never been before, or indulge in a fancy dining experience; whichever way you choose to celebrate overcoming obstacles and challenges in life, don’t forget to take a deep breath and appreciate the journey that got you there.

Life doesn’t have to be all work hard and no play. It’s okay to have a break every now and then because you deserve it. Capture these moments, whether in the form of a photograph or keep a journal. Most often we tend to let life’s best moments pass by without truly living it and then as the years go by, memories tend to slip by as well. One way of capturing them in by taking a photograph or actually writing down how you felt in a personal journal.

It’s easy to sit back and watch the day/s go by but more often than otherwise, we tend to lose track of time and suddenly it’s a week, a month or even a year later that we’ve come to realize how much time we’ve wasted.

Don’t let this happen too often; your time is now.

Make it matter.

Good luck!

Inspire and motivate

2015 has been hard on me. I’m not complaining but I’ve gone through a whirlwind of situations, struggles and emotions that it’s kind of taken on a toll on me.

I’ve tried my best to remain positive and upbeat, to look at the good things in life and find proper meaning in my life just to get through each day.

This journey has not been easy and the worst isn’t over yet but I’m hopeful and eager to see what 2016 would be like and bring into my life.

I still cling to the idea that your happiness lies in your hands and that no one but you can control your life. Learn to motivate yourself even during the worst days ever because you only have one life to live.

Be inspired by looking back on your life and the things you’ve achieved this year. I’m amazed I even got through some of the months. But here I am and here you are too! Give yourself a pat on the back and celebrate yourself. Don’t give up on yourself and the dreams you hold inside. Next year could be yours; the year everything comes right.

Much love to you all!

Another day, another month

September already?!? I’m finding it so difficult to fathom how fast the months in this year are going by. Sometimes I feel like the days go by so slowly but then here we are at the beginning of a new month… So don’t just be grateful for another day… Be grateful for another month and do all you can to make the most of it!

More than that

You are more than just a girl. You are more than just a boy. You are more than just a daughter. You are more than just a son. You are more than just a wife and you are more than just a husband. You are more than just a mother. You are more than just a father. You are more than a friend. You are more than a colleague. You are more than just a human being. You are more than the job you have. You are more than the dreams you dreams. You are more than the goals you make and the goals you achieve. You are more than the memories you make and the memories you keep. You are more than the casual hellos and the heart breaking goodbyes. You are more than a shoulder to cry on. You are more than a trustworthy soul. You are more than a guardian. You are more than a savior. You are more than the strength inside and the courage you hide. You are more than the creative individual. You are more than absolute perfection. You are more than a tool and more than a body and brain. You are so much more than you seem… You are you!

Have a great weekend everyone! Xoxo

As humans, I think we’re programmed to never or hardly be happy with how our lives go. Things seem to be looking up right now but I don’t know if I’m happy or not. I think it’s because I still haven’t got back to my writing but nothing seems to be motivating me. I attended a couple of events and thought about reviewing a restaurant or two but even then, I am not completely motivated. I think I’ve still not found myself… Figured out what I want in life or who I am. Like I’ve said before, these things don’t happen overnight. Just because things are looking up doesn’t mean everything goes back to how they used to be…. It’s all about keeping a positive attitude and outlook on life…..

You are amazing!

Time for some positivity! The weekend so far is looking up so here’s a tiny quote for each and everyone of you who is going through a rough time. You are not and will never be alone; there will always be somebody else somewhere in the world going through exactly what you are right now. Know that you are loved, important and blessed to go through this journey called life and be grateful for the good things. God does not give you tests that you cannot make it through so know that you can succeed and you can do it. You are amazing as you are and do not let anyone tell you otherwise. Have a great day everyone!
